William Dodworth who married Jone Wortley was one of seven sons of Randolph Dodworth and Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Bosvile who had another daughter Margaret married to William Simmes of Barnsley whose daughter Joan married Robert last Lord of Burton. Randolph Dodworth was the son of William Dodworth who married Cecilia, one of the three daughters, co - heiresses, of John Lascelles of Lascelles Hall, Kirkheaton.  Joan Lascelles married Henry Beaumont;  Margaret Lascelles married John Freston of Altofts. The reference to Lascey or Lascelles Hall in the Escheat taken on William Dodworth’ s death in 1512 is explained by this marriage of his grandfather. - Yorks Arch.
