Anna Maria was die dogter van Philip Jacobus Nel en Christina Helena Gouws.

Mej. Nel het met Mnr. Philip Lotter van die plaas Doornkloof naby Middelrus getrou.  In die vroeë deel van hulle getroude lewe, het hulle maar swaar gekry en het sy vertel hoe sy vir 'n geruime tyd ander mense se wasgoed moes doen om geld te kry om haar eie seep te koop.  Deur baie spaarsamig te lewe en onder andere suksesvol met beeste te boer, het dit nie vir hulle lank geneem om hulle eie finansieële posisie aansienlik te verbeter nie.  (Anita Campbell)

At the time of her death Anna Maria had effectively disposed of, or allocated, all the immoveable assets. She was survived by her grandchildren (children of Christina Helena van Rooyen) and great-grandsons by Petrus Hendrik van Rooyen.

Petrus Hendrik van Rooyen of Escourt. He is given 300 acres of the farm Buffelshoek or Mormond, district Weenen.

Philip Petrus Lotter van Rooyen received the subdivision of farm Doornkloof named Doornkloof. He was married to Jacoba Elizabeth de Villiers and they had 3 daughters. Both are buried at Doornkloof. Their daughter. Hester Petronella was married to Jacobus Kruger Rautenbach who died10 March 1955 and is buried at Doornkloof.

Roelof Johannes Jurgen van Rooyen received the farm portion of Doornkloof now known as Morgenson. He was also given about 142 acres of the farm Scottspoort as well as 560 acres of the farm Buffelshoek (or Mormond) that lies adjacent to Scottspoort

Christina Helena de Wet of Vryheid to receive £800.

In a further codicil dated 8th July 1927, she stated that she has sold Cyferfontein and that the two great grandchildren Roelof Johannes Jurgens van Rooyen and Johannes Stephanus Boshof van Rooyen should therefore receive £800 shared between them.

She bequeaths a sum of £800 to be paid to Christina Helena Stadler (born Lotter) d.1933 married to Johann Hendrik Stadler of Rietfontein, Machadodorp (a niece – godchild?).

She bequeathed £100 to the Dutch Reformed Church at Weenen.  (Anita Campbell)
